Year 3 started this half term being sorted into their different houses ready for our Harry Potter topic. They voted for head boy and girl of each house and researched what qualities members of each house are said to posses.
We have had lots of fun exploring light in science. The children learnt about how light travels and how shadows are formed, we also investigated whether a shadow gets bigger or smaller the closer the object blocking the light gets to the light source.
In art and design we made our very own Modroc owls. It was really messy but great fun and once they were dry we painted them to look like different species of owl.
This week we are learning about Hinduism and how the lives of Hindu children compare with our lives. Mrs Sabnis showed us pictures and items from her home shrine and she gave us lots of interesting information
