On Thursday 1st May a hot air balloon lost height and made an emergency landing on our school field! Thankfully nobody was playing or learning outside and they made a safe landing.

The balloon pilot was very grateful and after we spoke about staying safe in our school, he and the passengers were excited to tell us about the balloon and their trip – we were very excited too. Everybody was able to have a closer look at the balloon and the burners before we all went back inside so they could safely deflate the balloon and move it off site.

Thank you to all the staff and children for remaining calm and sensible so we could make the most of our unexpected guests.
