This afternoon our Junior classes walked to the village memorial to lay our poppy wreath – thank you, Riana and Toby. We reflected on current conflicts in the news and the importance of learning from past mistakes. We remember those who have made sacrifices for peace in the past and those around the world who continue to do so.
Remembrance Service Sunday 12th November 10 :00 am in the Parish Church
The service this year will be led by the Methodist Minister Revd. Richard Atkinson. Following the service in the Parish Church, there will be the Act of Remembrance at the village War Memorial starting at 11 :00 am. Please gather at the War Memorial by 10 : 55 am as the service will begin promptly at 11: 00 am starting with the 2 minute silence. Following the prayers and the reading of the names on the war memorial, village societies and organisations will lay the traditional poppy wreaths. All Welcome.
