On Thursday 3rd November, we held a Wheels at Work Day in aid of Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research. Everyone came in their own clothes in return for a donation and we raised £257 for this fantastic local cause.
Several children became Wheelchair Champions for the day and had a taste of what school life would be like when using a wheelchair – Mr Mayhew had a go too!
We had a special visitor, Kat, who has to use a wheelchair following an accident, and she spoke about how her life has changed and how the charity have helped her – Kat was so positive and talked about hoe much she loved life despite the challenges!
