During outdoor learning Jupiter class have been thinking about how we care for the birds over winter. We made our own bird feeders today to hang in the school grounds and to take home for our gardens. We melted the lard over a camp fire and talked about how it melted from a solid into a liquid. The children selected their own food to add into their pots and then we’re fascinated to watch as the lard solidified in their pots. We hope the birds of Wingrave enjoy eating our tasty food as the weather gets colder again this week.
