Our Platinum Jubilee Celebrations for the Queen mixed traditional and new ideas and, most importantly, we were very blessed with the weather! Staff, Governors and the children enjoyed a red, white and blue bunting-clad picnic lunch on the field together with Mr Pilbeam leading a sing-song around the piano. This included our National Anthem and a special version of ‘She’ll be coming around the mountain’ themed for the Queen! A surprise ice-lolly treat was provided for everyone by our PTFA as well as a special jubilee wild-seed bomb gift to symbolise both our growth as learners and the Queen’s commitment to the environment. Our Cherry sapling as part of the Queen Jubilee Canopy initiative continues to flourish having survived the high winds and extreme weathers to date. Thank you to everyone for their contributions and efforts to make all these things possible for our school community.
